MY QUEEN STORY
My first record ever was Sweet (Desolation Boulevard) got it on my birthday. Shortly afterwards I heard some guys in school talk about a new great band called Queen. One day when I was in a record shop (just locking) , there it was, the "Queen "record,  just in the front of me eyes. I have now bought my first record. Put it on the player and then it begin "Keep yourself alive". I was trapped with Queen forever.
Maybe a year later Queen 2 arrived, my music interest starting to be bigger. David Bowie, Mott the hopple and all the other glamour heroes beginning to take place in my music world. But side black "Queen 2" were the hardest and still today (I think) one of the best record side ever.
The year is 1974 the radio start to play Killer Queen. Brighton Rock with the great guitar solo was played over and over again on my record plate. The Queen sound starting to be well non-in the rock circus .Now I'm here with the stereo sound were another one of my favourites. The wall in my room got a big Queen poster that I got from my sister. Soon you could not see any thing else but Queen posters (on the wall). Saw queen for the first time on the TV, A British program about the best new band in UK (think it was Queen and Sparks).
While waiting for the next album I often listen to Radio Luxemburg, in that time England were about one mouth earlier with new records and radio hits. They were playing in the evening and nights (Luxemberg), when they start playing Bohemian Rhapsody with Johns heavy bas I got a lovely feeling in hole my body, the hair stood right up, then I could go back to sleep with a big smile. Of course I loved the record A Night At The Opera, and there was a lot more people starting to like their music, even if some of the press didn't. My group (I thought) starting to be big. The Official International Queen Fan Club got a new member…me.
The year is 1976 and the follow up LP A Day At The Races are released (their second Marx movie title). It starts with the greatest live intro so far Tie Your Mother Down (On concert). Queen gives back to the Japanese fan (They were one of the first that discover Queen), with the song Teo Torriatte. 1977 is the year that the guys coming to my town. But they had been here before (in the early days and I miss them) I had talk with other Queen fans and they think that the first concert were great, One special effect were when Roger had water on his drums and it splash all over in different collar (because of the light). Now to the 1977 concert, my friend Björn and me got the ticket in the front. We had our Cameras under our jacket and walk in behind the guards, puh….  a little nervous. After a while it begins (Tie Your Mother Down) what a feeling. That were my first concert ever and it were absolutely one of my biggest time (so far). The photos you can see on my site.
   
A new Queen era starts with News of the world. Queen the rock group with the never stop played we are the champions (in the sports arenas) we will rock you the song that almost everybody new in the music world. Queen fined their way to the US. The crown show gets around the world. The paintings cover were another great Queen cover I thought. Another great rock song Sheer Heart Attack finally got publishes.
Jazz year 1978 I’m in high school and starting to get my car license. Finally meet some really Queen fan in my new class. Got a bootleg tape from the Queen concert in Gothenburg 1977 (not so god quality but it’s great to have as a memory). Another song inspired from a new country (India) Mustapha is the beginning of the new record. One song that interests the press because of the video was Bicycle race. Lovely ladies on bicycles (naked). And a song called don’t stop me now with became a great live song. If you look at the LP sleeve the guys don’t look very happy why????
Another one bites the dust (Deacon) the disco song hit the chards. Freddie plays the guitar on Crazy Little Thing Called Love (after years of training) Play the game and Save me were the two songs that you could say were the old Queen songs (Queen stiles). Otherwise they were trying to find some new areas to discover. A soundtrack Flash Gordon was the answer. And I got my car license.

Hot space and a hot reality for the members. All the touring and interviews (promotions) starting to tar on the members. What’s happening?

The only thing that became a god thing from this time was the meeting with Bowie (another favorites of this time). Under Pressure… A god song that still is a hit in the music world. The army is waiting with lot of snow and cold degrease. I made my time in the north of Sweden  (9 month I never forget) I later begin working in a car factory (Volvo)

Queen is finally back in my hometown 1982 April 9 with a new great live show. It’s start with theme from the Flash movie, and then they just go on for 2 hour. After all they are one of the best live band ever (this time they used Morgan Fischer on extra keyboards). The only sad thing from this night, Queen never played in Gothenburg again.
The members start to find the fun with music, after all home with the Queen family they made their best music. Radio ga ga became a big hit and no one forgets the video I won’t to break free. Brian did another great live song (Hammer to fall). Queen conquer the arena world with their new gigantic show. The ultimate gig most be` the one in Rio with 250000 people. My girlfriend and me moved to a bigger apartment, with our two cats. I now work with Volvo trucks.
1986 was a year of magic. Queen made a second soundtrack to one of my favorite movies Highlander. One vision (Iron Eagle movie), a kind of magic, friends will be friends were all big hits. Queen was bigger than ever, and so were their live show. An enormous stage with a light show no one ever had seen before. And the best Queen was coming to Sweden (Stockholm). My pregnant girlfriend and I took the train (4 hours trip) to Stockholm for the show. Gary Moore played as a special guest then it started. A big evening with a big band, a big scene, a big light show and a big memory for a lifetime. When we came home next morning we were so tired that we could sleep forever. Later that year she came, my little Queen 4 kilos and marvels . It was a miracle
The Miracle album was the first one that they wrote in the name of Queen. Even this time they got a couple of hits, also in the video charts (MTV). The invisible man, breakthru with the train video, scandal, and others. The group is tighter than ever but they did not tour this time. In the end of the nineteen’s they also made a lot of work on their solo carriers. A break with touring in that time didn’t seem so strains.

Our little princess was now five and we could here her singing along with the music-tape in the car all the Queen songs. She didn’t understand the words but she remember them all and sang loud and clear. (Maybe because she had heard them even  before her birth “the Stockholm concert).

The new album was in the stores 1991, and what a record. The lyrics was maybe the best they ever did (The words got a new meaning when I heard of Freddie’s illness) we should all be grateful that Freddie and the rest of the group had the power to make this record. The track Innuendo must be the ultimate Queen song (it’s long, different tempo, a lot of choirs  and a great guitar solo) Freddie past away and I feel a big emptiness, Freddie and Queen had been a big part of my life in almost twenty years. So it was like a lost of personally friend.
Wembley Stadium and the tribute concert for Freddie. This was the time many not Queen lovers realize how big the group really were .All this people singing along with the songs. And all this big artists playing them. The rest of the Queen members did a great job to make this happened. This was the year my family moved to a house just outside the city. It was a busy summer, just a week after we moved in it was time for summer holiday, one week in Bornholm (Denmark) then back home and pack new bags, next morning we went to Dalarna  (in the middle of Sweden). After another week we were home fixing our new garden (digging and planting).

Year 1994 I got a new job, There they make’s cryo tanks for gases. There was some rumour that Queen are making a new album with the voice of Freddie, and it turns out to be true. Made in heaven (1995) were the result, the lads did again a marvels work. The album was really in the spirit of Freddie. He sang better then ever, even that the time was running out.

1996 and another little Queen enter to my family. 

 
Queen still rocks the world, even if it’s not so much new material. Now we are only waiting for some great cd-boxes (like the Freddie box) Queen will live forever………………    
The year is 2002 , and it`s time for my first DVD (Audio) record. Of course it is a Queen one "A Night At The Opera. Happy me......
